Gamblers wagered $29.5 million on slot machines at Presque Isle Downs & Casino during the week of Feb. 23-March 1.

The amount returned to gamblers was $26.5 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported.

The gross revenue -- the amount of gamblers' losses -- was $2.25 million, after subtracting $792,249 in promotional free plays.

Of the gross revenue, $1.2 million went to the state and $1.05 million went to the casino.

During a comparable week in 2014, from Feb. 24-March 2, gamblers wagered $28.9 million. The amount returned to them was $25.8 million.

The record for slots wagers in one week was $57 million, set during the week of July 5-11, 2010.
