Blackjack Tournament Strategy
One exciting adaption to the game of blackjack was in 1978, when Las Vegas’ Sahara Casino began running blackjack tournaments. Rather than pitting players against the house, blackjack tournaments start players off with equal chip amounts, and pay out prizes to the top chip earners. If you’re interested in playing some blackjack tournaments in the future, or you already play them, here’s a look at some strategy for these games.

Blackjack Tournament Basics

Before we get into the blackjack strategy for tournaments, it’s important to understand how they work first. The large majority of blackjack tournaments are multi-table events that gradually play down to a final table as players are eliminated. The method in which players are eliminated will either happen after a designated number of hands dealt, or as each player loses their entire chip stack. Once the tournament is finished, those who survive long enough will receive ascending payouts based on what place they finish in the tourney.

Blackjack Tournament Tips

While in blackjack tournaments, the obvious objective is to beat the other players. And your primary weapon for doing so will be the size of your bet amounts. So if you start the tournament with 1,500 chips, you want to play conservatively in the beginning to see how your luck goes, and where you stand in relation to the field. As it becomes apparent where you stand in the tournament, you’ll need to either increase bets to gain position on the leaders, or reduce bets to protect your top position.

Unfortunately, there is no blueprint for exactly how much you should bet at various points in a blackjack tournament. That said, it’s important to play in as many tourneys as you can in order to get a feel for the optimal times to make huge bets. Playing lots of tournaments will also help you figure out what your goals are for each event. For example, if you’re in 10th place with 50 players left, and the top 20 make it into the money, should you increase or decrease bets in this position? Are you just trying to survive until the money, or are your sights set on first place? Your individual goals will go a long way towards defining how to play.

Basic Blackjack Strategy

As we just covered, a lot of blackjack tournament strategy deals with the size and timing of your bets. However, it’s also very important that you understand basic blackjack strategy while playing too. After all, you are still playing hands against the dealer, and the better you play these hands, the less chips you’ll surrender through the house edge. So make sure to grab a blackjack strategy chart before heading into any blackjack tournaments.

The colorful and popular EuroLotto gaming website has just announced that it is going mobile with its products and it now allows customers to purchase lottery tickets and enjoy a variety of casino games on mobile devices. This should make it more convenient for players to manage their accounts and have everything they want at the tip of their fingers.

The casino games maintain their functions as well so it is just as easy to win from swiping the smartphone screen as it is from clicking “Spin” with a mouse. Regardless of the chosen device, new players at EuroLotto can get a nice offer when they make their first deposit, represented by a 100% match of up to €100. Furthermore, the site will also throw in a free lottery ticket and 30 free spins on the NetEnt slot Dazzle Me for the action which will last for the rest of September.

Three casinos in Atlantic City have been fined by regulators for letting underage or self-excluded gamblers to place bets, with one of the cases involving online gaming.

According to a ruling filed last week, Resorts Casino Hotel was hit with a fine of $7,187 for allowing self-excluded gamblers to create online gaming accounts and then play. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement said it was the result of a “computer programming error.”

The fine includes the $1,187 the casino won from the self-excluded gamblers.

The casino won $735,140 from its online gambling offerings in August. Resorts began Internet operations in February, and Resorts Digital was granted a casino license on Aug. 12. The casino operator runs the web games via a partnership with Sportech NYX Gaming.

Total New Jersey online gambling revenue was roughly $12.2 million in August, up 15.8 percent year-over-year. Year-to-date online gaming win was $96,723,723 through August, up 15.6 percent from the $83,668,485 during the same period in 2014.

The Borgata and Tropicana casinos were ordered this month to forfeit roughly $5,000 and $2,000, respectively, that was won from customers under the age of 21.

According to Pressofatlanticcity.com, the casinos did not protest the penalties.

New Jersey is one of three states with regulated online casino gambling.

Rockstar's decision to exclude the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the latest GTA 5 Freemode DLC was a shock to the last-gen console gamers. The question that the veteran GTA 5 gamers are wrestling with right now is whether Rockstar has decided to completely cease support of last-gen. The only answer we can offer now is "probably not," but when it comes to what's next for the GTA 5 DLC updates, your guess is as good as mine.

We probably still have about a week or so before GTA 5 October DLC rumors arrive at full force. Until then, we do know that past source codes have revealed that anticipated updates could include the GTA 5 Casino DLC, GTA 5 Mansion DLC, and GTA 5 Low Life, or Lowrider, DLC. Unfortunately, the past couple of GTA 5 updates have yet to deliver on any of the predictions.

According to renownend GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber DomisLive, another new Rockstar game code was recently discovered following the Freemode DLC. It reads: "0xCED5A615 = Start your day like a pro: play 8 hours of Casino blackjack with your remortgager and divorce attorney. then wash it all down with a time trial through North LS to a Vinehood Hills mansion you'll never own."

The in-game text is casual yet descriptive, mentioning both Casino and mansions in the same sentence. However, DomisLive warns that the whole source code seems inconsequential and even questions whether Rockstar is trolling on its community of diehard gamers.

"Now this is pretty interesting here," says DomisLive. "I'm laughing at this one because I don't know if it's a troll or if is it just a description. Rockstar listens to the community and they know for a fact that we all have been clamoring over Mansions and Casino DLC. They know this. They watch the video and they read the comments."

As a refresher, the GTA 5 Mansion DLC was last rumored to be a part of the Ill-Gotten Gains update, which would cater to the high-wealth gamers within GTA Online. Mansions would function exactly like the high-end luxury apartments and feature starage for cars as well as more room for activities with friends including a game of tennis, darts, or a swim in the pool.

Earlier this year, rumors of a GTA 5 Casino DLC spurred reports of the grand opening of the Los Santos Casino, which had been a shuttered landmark on the map for ages. The Casino DLC would reportedly also deliver a new economy system via the ability to gamble your money away on table games include poker, roulette, slot, blackjack, horse race betting, lottery, and more.

Finally, the rumored GTA 5 Lowrider DLC allegedly delivers 12 new cars including new variations of the Faction, Moonbeam, Primo, Sabre GT, Virgo, Chino, clean Voodoo, Buccaneer, Tornado, and Slamvan.

Check out the latest word on the Mansion DLC and Casino DLC source code leak from DomisLive. Also, don't miss the video from another GTA 5 YouTuber, MrBossFTW, which touches upon the state of the Lowrider DLC.
