Microgaming Acquires Game Of Thrones Online Slot Gaming License

Online slots fanatics can expect a host of new casino games before the end of 2014, according to Microgaming. The gaming software developer confirmed that two new online slots games are scheduled to launch at online casinos affiliated with Microgaming later this year – with both games based off popular franchises.

The most anticipated game in development is based off the popular HBO series ‘Game of Thrones.’ The game will supposedly be based off the complex plots and characters within the series, and is expected to be live before the end of the year.

The partnership was announced by representatives of both Microgaming and HBO Licensing, with both parties expecting fans will respond positively to the new game. Microgaming also confirmed that the Game of Thrones slots will go live after the Terminator 2 online slots, which is expected to be available in the summer.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, says acquiring gaming licenses from some of the world’s leading media franchises is important for the online gambling world. Raatgever expects that Microgaming will continue negotiating gaming licenses with other franchises in the coming months and years.

“We are incredibly excited to have signed a licensing agreement for Game of Thrones, a highly relevant and extremely popular show. We plan on taking all of the features of the small screen fantasy epic to create a masterpiece of a slot.”

Microgaming did not provide a target date to go live with the Game of Thrones slots game, but fans can bet that the game will be live in the fall.
