Delaware casino operators to see more money

There will be more money for casino operators in Delaware, as has been discussed in recent weeks by lawmakers concerned about the viability of the state’s gaming houses, but the amount will be less than previously proposed.
The chief sponsor of a bill to provide assistance to the casinos noted over the weekend that the bill under consideration in the Senate will be modified before a vote is taken.
The bill will still have the state sharing slot machine vendor costs with the casinos, a savings of about $9.9 million in the next fiscal year, but will not include the elimination of the annual $3 million table games fee paid by the casinos.
